Panama Fishing Report - Yellowfin Tunas near Hannibal Bank! - February 22-25, 2013

Professional fisherman Ansgar Hehenkamp of Germany joined us for some bluewater hunting here in the Gulf of Chiriqui last week. Of the four days we had offshore two were stellar and two were a little slow. The Yellowfin Tunas are here in full force, travelling with big schools of Porpoises, but as is usual each year when they first show up they are very picky about what baits they eat. Each day offshore we were in the middle of busting Tunas but only two of the days were the Tunas willing to eat. Poppers and live Blue Runners were the only baits that were getting hits. The warm 84 plus degree water is still hanging around but some cooler water should be moving in soon! Enjoy the pics........
